Among the town and its' suburbs there are many historical places such as Takht-e-Soleyman, located 45 km to the northeast of Takab. And the center of the great Sassanid fire temple "Azargoshasb" that is one of the three greatest and most famous Sassanid fire temples in this region. The historical works relate to the eras before and after Islam. There is also the ancient cave of Karfeo in southwest of Takab and Saroghorghan castle and many other historical works in this region. There is only one river "Saroogh" crosses the town and it is said that "Takab" (meaning "one-water") is driven from this idea.
